Gilda and Amir Salmon are a husband and wife Colour & Styling team with over twenty years of experience in hair care and styling techniques. Team Gilda and Amir are noted for enthusiastic personal style, dedication to education, and providing excellent customer service to their diverse clientele.
At TAG Concept Salons, Inc, Amir Salmon serves as the CEO and Artistic Director of Colour Department, while Gilda serves as Director of the Artistic Edge Department.
The Salmons’ professional careers began in 1984 as Gilda graduated at the top of her cosmetology class at Wilford Academy and within a year she was one of the up-and-coming stylists in the northern New Jersey region.
Meanwhile, Amir trained in New York to become a master barber and later earned his cosmetologist license there in which he expanded his skill set to include a wide variety of hair care experience and techniques.
The Salmons were Platform artists at Joico and Design Essential they have years of experience working product development that would later come in handy later for them when they launch their own product line at TAG Concept Salons. In addition experience includes extensive training with the following international hair color lines: Logics, Wella, Vero, Clairol, Scruples and Alfaparf.
In addition, their work has been featured in such publications as Essence, Try-It-Yourself Hair, Hype Hair, and Sophisticated Black Hair. Their styling has also been highlighted on such television shows as The View, Maury Povich (makeover show), The Ricki Lake Show, and Good Day New York. Project Runway contestant Kara Saun even tapped into the Salmon talent pool by hiring Gilda and Amir as consultants for her fashion shows.

Throughout their careers, the Salmons have always used their talent and experience to cultivate and nurture others who work under their leadership. Gilda and Amir served as Master Stylist and Educators at a prominent Salon in Atlanta before opening their 2nd salon with partners Tracy Robertson & J. Jeffrey Carr
